-St. Louis Police Sargent. (retired) Ann Dorn talks about why she started a foundation in her late husband’s name Captain David Dorn, a 77-year old retired St. Louis police officer who working security on June 2, 2020 and was killed in the George Flyod street riots.

-She discusses what services and equipment the David Dorn Foundation provides police officers and first responders in large and small communities.

-She talks about the biggest hurdles she faces in operating a foundation. She was a police officer for 20-years. She also struggles in delegating authority.

-What is the future of the organization three years down the road.

-She wants to expands the foundation’s outreach to other states beyond Missouri and she wants to partner with other organizations to help provide mental help assistance to police officers and firefighters.

-How she struggles to reach the real young police and firefighters and the more veteran officers who will not admit to help or accept help

-Old ways of dealing with mental health issued versus the new methods

-How she would like to make mental health issues and PTSD disabilities a priority covered by insurance in the future and that is she is working on.

-How you contact and donate to the organization. What they need in the way of donations beyond cash. She would rather equipment donors work through her foundation for compliance reasons. Clothing has to be a certain color and type.
